Who Do You Trust?

Who Do You Trust?

In a typical counseling session, the topic of “trust” comes up often.

It could be trust in a marriage or dating relationship, or perhaps trust issues concerning family members.

Sooner or later, people let us down in one way or another. Most of the time they don’t mean to disappoint us but it happens. When it seems that you’re surrounded by people who are untrustworthy and it makes you feel alone, there is One you can trust.

“Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.” Psalm 42:5

There are days when we do feel so alone our circumstances completely weigh us down. It’s during those times we need to rely on God. It’s too easy to give up.

You see, God never ever leaves. He’s there with arms wide open to comfort us when people let us down. The troubles of this world can be a heavy burden to bear. God says:

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Jeremiah 31:25

God empowers us if we rely on Him. You see, He has all the strength we need in times of despair or disappointment.

Turn to Him today.
