Seeking But Not Finding

Seeking But Not Finding

What are you seeking?

King Solomon had it all. His wisdom was world renowned. His wealth was beyond comparison.

Did all of this satisfy him?

No, it didn’t.

“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” Mark 8:36

You see, King Solomon had it all but he wanted more. More wives and concubines. More wealth. More fame.

And it all crashed.

There was a time Solomon listened to God but wealth, fame and lust became more important to him. He turned his back on living in a way that was obedient to God and instead married women and had mistresses who did not believe in the one true God. Foreign gods were allowed into Israel and sin and corruption entered in as well.

What are you chasing?

Do you have peace and contentment in your life?

You can.

It’s only by following the narrow path that you can finally find happiness. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

I Kings 8:58 says, “May He keep us centered and devoted to Him, following the lift path he has cleared, watching the signposts, walking at the pace and rhythms He laid down for our ancestors.”

Whose path are you on?
