6 Quick Ways to Go From Fearful to Fearless
You’d like to set up a WordPress site, get a domain name and figure out which hosting company to use, right?
So, what’s holding you back?
Is it “lack of knowledge”?
Or….just plain FEAR.
Well, honestly, I know what that feels like. What I would advise you to do is work the building process one step at a time.
Now, remember, each time you learn something new, you become an “expert” in that facet of your process. Pat yourself on the back after you’ve accomplished each and every task.
Ok, so here we go:
Do you want to build your own website? Here are the steps:
1. Go over to NameCheap (my favorite company) or a domain company of your choosing and purchase your domain name.
2. Next, travel over to HostGator (another fav company) or a hosting company you’ve already chosen.
3. Once you have completed both of these steps, ask your hosting company for the name of your servers so that you can fill in that information over at NameCheap (or your domain company).
4. Now, login to your cpanel with your hosting company and scroll down until you see “Fantastico Deluxe”. Click it!
5. Then, look for “WordPress” on the left and click that link.
6. Now, follow the directions to install your first WordPress blog and voila!
You’ve set up your first website!
Now, explore around inside your WordPress dashboard to get a feel for what every single link does.
