You’re the One I’m Dying For
For those who have been mocked,
Anyone who’s been a victim of an “eye for an eye” type of revenge,
For the one who is hurting,
and the one who has done wrong,
for the one who needs healing,
or the one whose hope is gone,
for the weary who can’t carry His cross anymore,
for the one with all the questions or
the one who just believes,
for the one who casts the first stone
and the one down on her knees,
You’re the one I’m dying for.
A special message for all women.
Why Can’t We?
Why is it so hard to forgive others?
Why is it so difficult to forgive ourselves?
Sometimes we face bitter disappointment. People let us down and sometimes we even let ourselves down.
Listen to how God views “unforgiveness”…
Are Your Mistakes or Sins Too Big for God to Forgive?
Do you doubt that He could love you after all you’ve done?
“Just as we are condemned by one act of sin, we are all given LIFE by one act of righteousness.” Romans 5:14-17
Forgetting Your Past God’s Way
Are you hanging on to your past?
Are you feeling suicidal?
Do you feel like a failure?
Does it feel like no one understands what you are going through?
Listen to what Kasey Van Norman shares:
I quietly turned to you. And…you turned to me.
Buried in brokenness.
I’ve been listening to Rick Warren and his wife speak regarding the loss of their son, Matthew, and how their strong faith is bringing them through. And then the killings at The Navy Pier. And the innocent children at Sandy Hook Elementary.
It can be overwhelming to watch the news at times.
And all of this is a reminder of the grief and pain we’ve suffered because of the ones we’ve lost tragically or to old age.
We miss them and long to see them.
All of pain we have suffered in this life, whether physical, mental or both will be made new.
My daughter, Kate, left this world at the young age of 21 years old because of injuries suffered in a car crash. Listen to this verse:
“Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.” 1 Corinthians 15:43
And this is our hope in Jesus…
We will be new.
We will be reunited with our loved ones.
We will see His face and live with Him forever in Glory.
Do you know this Savior, Jesus?
Praise of Men More Than the Praise of God
The fulfillment of the prophet Isaiah’s words convinced some of the authorities that Jesus was the Messiah but they would not share it with others. The anger of the pharisees scared them to death. After all, the pharisees wielded a lot of power in this part of the world.
Sharing the good news was simply not important to them. The truth had to remain hidden. No feathers were to be ruffled.
Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Yes?
“When Jesus had said this, he departed and hid himself from them.
Though he had done so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in him; it was that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “Lord, who has believed our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” Therefore they could not believe. For Isaiah again said, “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes and perceive with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.” Isaiah said this because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
Nevertheless many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” John 12:36b-43
Stop hiding your light (aka “the good news”) under a bushel because you’re so afraid your business will suffer or you will lose your good reputation with those around you.
You see, He died for you, right?
Do you really believe that if others do not know Him they face an eternity separated from God?
If you do believe that, why are you hogging the news?
Tell someone today!
Waitng in the Water
There are things that prevent us from moving forward in life and I would venture to say that “fear” is one of the main reasons we stand still.
What’s preventing you from moving forward toward the plan God has laid out for you?
Do you doubt that He will “have your back”?
Are you afraid what others will say if you fall down?
Remember…the Savior didn’t pass you by. When you accept God’s gift of Jesus as your personal Savior, you have Him by your side forever and ever.
No, He didn’t give us the ability to see into the future. However, when you step into the water, those steps of faith will give sight to the blind.
Trust Him today. Ask Jesus to be your Savior. The best laid plans for you are the ones He has laid down.
